Location information. To show your qibla direction, local prayer times, or moon-sighting-based Islamic date, our tools need to know your approximate or exact location. If you allow browser or device location access, we use your GPS coordinates. If you do not, we estimate your location from your IP address, or you can enter a city manually. Location data used to calculate results is processed in your browser and is not linked to your identity or stored on our servers beyond what is needed to serve the page.

Settings and preferences. Choices you make, such as your preferred calculation method, Asr school, region, or the ±1 day adjustment on the Islamic Calendar tool, are saved in your browser’s local storage so you do not have to reselect them on each visit. These are stored on your device, not on our servers.
